Piping Design & Stress Analysis
Critical piping layouts, isometric detailing, stress analysis and code compliance for boiler, turbine and industrial systems.

Industrial piping stress analysis is a design evaluation that makes sure a piping system meets safety, reliability and performance standards under every operating condition. Thermal expansion, pressure cycling and dynamic loads all act on a line, and each one has to be checked before steel is cut.
We cover power plant piping systems (steam, feedwater, condensate, cooling water and utilities) and oil & gas and process piping (crude, gas, chemical and utility lines), from the first layout to the final bill of materials.
What we deliver
- Piping layout and 3D modelling
- P&ID, isometric and GA drawings
- MTO and BOM preparation
- Pipe support design, including spring hangers and restraints
What is covered
- Thermal and pressure stress assessment
- Code compliance with ASME B31.1, B31.3, IBR and international standards
- Support optimisation with spring hangers and restraints
- Nozzle and equipment load checks
- Seismic and wind load analysis
- Flexibility and layout review
- Vibration and fatigue checks
Questions about piping design
Which codes do you design piping to?
We design and check piping to ASME B31.1 for power piping, ASME B31.3 for process piping, IBR and other international standards. Stress analysis is done in CAESAR II, AutoPIPE and ANSYS, covering thermal, pressure, seismic, wind, vibration and nozzle loads.
